Maison vendue!
I sold my house in France rapidly with Leggett.
My agent, Clive, with his calm manner, was available and always replied rapidly throughout the whole process. He was very communicative and accompanied me to the notaires office. He has an extensive knowledge of buying and selling in France and helped me with anything i didn’t understand. He gave good, clear advice, not only to me but to all the potential buyers.
Very pleased with the whole process and, i was reimbursed my obligatory house diagnostic fees as i went exclusive with Legget!
A big thanks to Clive and Leggett!

We were very satisfied with the service we received.
We were impressed that Andrew and Alexandra came to our house on a holiday Monday. They did a great job of photographing and marketing our house. Unfortunately, the buyer was unable to secure a mortgage and the sale fell through. Andrew while continuing to do viewings also reached out to his colleagues and Caroline introduced a buyer and the sale went through without any hitches. We found the sales staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. They were good at communicating with us to let us know about any developments.

Andrew is an excellent agent, very professional whilst also making you feel at ease. Couldn’t ask for more from him as an agent he was always on hand to give advice, the photos and advert were excellent and within the first 2 visits we were sold.

Très satisfait de la relation client
Bonjour,
Je viens d'acheter une maison à Lézignan -Corbières par l'intermédiaire d'une de vos agents, Madame Caroline S.
La relation agent/client a été au top. Je n'avais jamais connu un tel niveau de prestation dans une autre agence immobilière (et pourtant j'en ai fait quelques unes dans ma vie).
Madame Caroline S. a su se montrer disponible en toutes occasions afin de répondre à toutes mes questions (même le week-end et même pendant ses vacances), disponible aussi pour me rassurer lorsque j'avais des doutes, disponible toujours et encore pour faciliter la transaction (aussi bien avec le propriétaire vendeur, qu'avec le Notaire chargé de la transaction immobilière).
Vous avez UNE PERLE dans vos rangs.
Je recommanderai chaleureusement votre agence pour son sérieux professionnel à tous les niveaux et pour sa qualité en matière de relation client.

Full fees charged when withdrawing from contract
We went through the purchase process with Leggett on a chalet in Mazamet but sadly had to withdraw due to the pound crash in September which made the property unaffordable for us.The property was the house of our dreams and a retreat for my wife due to long term illness, we would have never pulled out other than for the exceptional and unavoidable circumstances we found ourselves in.
Reluctantly, harshly but as expected we had to pay the 10 percent withdrawal fees to the seller but were surprised that we were also charged the full Leggett agent fees as this was not mentioned to us at any time by the agent until after the cooling off period had ended and when we suggested that we may have to back out. At no time was the contract explained to us by the agent yet with other previous French property purchases the contract was explained in great detail to us and no agents withdrawal fees were included in such contract. The agent was fully aware of our unavoidable and exceptional situation but made no offer to reduce or negate the fees and even when (at our request) the agent approached Leggett head office no financial reimbursment was offered just a 'that's unfortunate for you' comment.
After withdrawing and paying the fee, within an hour the very same advert was put up and an alert was sent to our email giving us a 'heads up' that it was back on the market!, we pointed this out to Leggett but no apology was given for the upset caused. To add insult to injury the property was re-sold within a week which although denied by Leggett suggested to us that they had a buyer already lined up before we formally withdrew!
We consider the taking of the full sales fee upon withdrawal given the exceptional and unavoidable circumstances and given the quick re-sale ( meaning they will earn their fees twice over for minimal effort) unethical and financially uncompassionate behaviour by Leggett. It has ruined our dream of buying a holiday home and caused significant stress and upset.
